Curry Caputo: Building Performance Institute (BPI) Certified Building Performance Analyst. Curry who runs our Energy Auditor Department, and consulting program, is an all phase builder with 15 years of experience, the voice of Sustainable Structures, Inc.. and the President of the Maine Association of Building Efficiency Professionals (MABEP).
Curry lives in Whitefield, Maine in an off the grid solar home designed and built by him. He is married and a father of three boys (one set of twins). Curry is one of the founding members of S.S. Inc, and a graduate of College of the Atlantic. A man with a passion for the environment, Curry has dedicated himself to enhancing the sustainability of our part of the earth.
Troy Ireland: Heading up the Green Building and Design team, with 15 years of experience Troy specializes in energy-efficient antique reproduction homes. He also produces craftsman quality custom finish work, and interiors. Troy is a trained draftsman, BPI Certified Building Performance Analyst, and energy auditor.
Troy resides in Hallowell, Maine with his wife and daughter, where he is currently restoring his newly acquired home in Hallowell's historic district. Troy is a graduate of College of the Atlantic. As an avid outdoors man and dedicated father, Troy's commitment to a cleaner, healthier environment is strong, and it translates through his work... super energy-efficient, and beautifully built.
Jamie Olsen: A BPI Certified Building Performance Analyst, home energy auditor, and builder with 9 years of experience, Jamie leads the Energy-efficient Retrofit team, handles the general carpentry projects, and serves as in house website design and support.
Jamie is a former dairy farmer from Wisconsin, who now lives in the woods of Dresden, Maine with his wife, twin daughters and new born son. A former AK/CO hunting and fishing guide, Jamie attended MATC where he studied Liberal Arts with an emphasis on history, and WWTC where he became a certified structural steel welder. A brighter future for his children is his drive to save Maine energy, one building at a time.
