                              The O'Halloran Deep Energy Retrofit

                              This project qualified for the $3000.00 rebate from the Efficiency Maine Home Energy Savings Program with over 50% energy savings!!!

                              The project work scope.

                              1. Insulate/air-seal attic flats
                              Remove existing fiberglass, troubleshoot wiring
                              Install insulation dams, eave blocks
                              Install 2” HDSF to flats (1683sf, 3366bf)
                              Install 12” loosefill cellulose (1683sf )
                              2.
                              Insulate/airseal chimney chase
                              3.
                              Insulate/air-seal basement/1st floor system
                              Remove fiberglass, troubleshoot wiring, remove paneling and shelving
                              Build 2x4 walls west wall middle section only (22 lineal feet)
                              Install 3” HDSF entire 1st floor perimeter. (185sf, 555 bf)
                              Install 3” HDSF floor to sill--part of north, all west wall (399sf, 1197bf)
                              Install 3” HDSF to upper concrete walls (174sf, 522bf)
                              Install intumescent barrier over exposed foam (758sf)
                              Install drywall (west half middle bsmt, wall only—157sf)
                              Drywall finish
                              Addition BasementInstall 2” foamboard to bottom concrete wall around perimeter (268sf)
                              Install 3” HDSF to upper concrete walls (201sf, 603bf)
                              Install intumescent barrier over exposed foam (469sf)
                              4.
                              Replace basement garage door with swing doors
                              Remove existing storm door and garage door
                              Frame new wall, install sheathing, housewrap, flashing, air/water sealing
                              Install insulated steel door, air-sealed, double-unit
                              Install siding/trim
                              Install 3” HDSF to wall cavities (15sf, 45 bf)
                              Install paperless drywall  to wall surface
                              5.
                              Insulate/air-seal skylight shaft walls
                              Remove existing fiberglass, airseal seams with canfoam. Install 3" HDSF
                              6.
                              Air-seal Chimney, Attic hatch
                              7.
                              Install bathroom exhaust fans :
                              Install (2) Panasonic WhisperGreen exhaust fans (80cfm) and sealed, hard-pipe ductwork
                              Install 2  switches or timers (includes electrical wiring)
                              8.
                              Install new microwave/range vent above stove and hardpipe to exterior.
                              9.
                              Install Heat Recovery Ventilation System (HRV)
                              Install ERV with fully ducted supplies and returns supply in each bedroom, living area
                              Return in each bathroom, kitchen, entry. Install all controls
